Matt Rowland first came to Kauai in 2000 to visit a friend and dreamed of living here ever since. Born in Florida and raised in Georgia, Matt grew up in a real estate family business. After 13 years living on Oahu Matt and his wife Hanna made the move to the majestic north shore of Kauai in 2013. Kauai is an island built on relationships and Matt believes in building these relationships one at a time.

After graduating from the University of Hawaii and establishing a successful real estate career on Oahu, Matt took a 6 year break from real estate to work with the nonprofit humanitarian organization Surfing the Nations. In 2009 Surfing the Nations purchased a strip club, brothel, porn shop, bar, and liquor store on the deadliest street in Hawaii. Through years of hard work they transformed these properties into an after school kids center called Ulupono, Surfers Coffee Bar, Wow Wow Lemonade, The Vintage, and Santo Loco Surf Shop. The transformation in this community is still very much alive and active today where they work with Hawaii Food Bank as one of many ways to meet needs in the community of Wahiawa.
