Richard “Rick” Leibow first came to Kauai in the Spring of 1988, and decided in 1994 to make it his permanent home. Having graduated from UCSD with a degree in Economics and History, Rick started doing refinance and purchase loans in 1996 with Cal Pacific Mortgage in San Diego, and later opened Approved Mortgage, Inc., in 1999, the premier mortgage lender on Kauai for over 15 years. His wealth of experience with long time homeowners, and first time homebuyers, has earned him the name of the “miracle worker”, finding solutions for Kauai’s tricky situations when local lenders couldn’t come through. Based on this success as a lender, many clients urged him to get his Real Estate license, and advise them in all aspects of their transaction.
